When your child has a fever, parents often know what to do to help them. But it's much harder to know how to help a child whose psychological well-being needs care. That's where the professionals at St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center can help. All children go through ups and downs, but if you see a sudden change in your child's mood or behavior, if they seem depressed, anxious, have severe mood swings, anger issues, hallucinations, paranoia or suicidal intentions, your child may be struggling with a mental health problem.
The caring, compassionate staff of St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center has the experience to help. Our team includes licensed psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed masters-level counselors/social workers, recreational therapists, registered nurses, and nutritionists that will work with you and your child to develop a personalized care plan in a safe, therapeutic environment.
Program Description
St. Luke's offers two outpatient programs for adolescents. While the goals and services are equal, the difference is the number of hours of treatment. Our Partial Hospitalization program operates from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our Intensive Outpatient program operates from 9 a.m. - noon, Monday through Friday. Our staff will work with you and your insurance company to determine which program best suits your child's needs.
These programs provide outpatient treatment to children and adolescents ages 12 through 17 years who are experiencing acute mental health issues. Our team will work with your child to help them understand and cope with the source(s) of distress, guide them through the development of a personalized discharge plan and help them to reach their highest level of physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. We are committed to preserving the integrity of both the patient and family while providing safe and therapeutic care.
